A OneCareNOW event was held in Marin City in Marin County on Wednesday, December 27. Activists led by Leticia Jones, the director of the popular after school-program "Doing Things," gathered at the Senior Center and then moved on to the Library to talk to people, distribute literature, and gather signatures.

This event led to a number of future dates to speak to community groups and show the OneCareNOW DVD "The Healthcare Solution" in Marin City A predominantly Africa-American community, Marin City sprang up during World War II when public housing was built for shipbuilders who emigrated to California during World War II. It remains a vibrant community, but one where the issue of health care coverage is an immediate problem for many families.
