On a Monday morning, we set up our table, with balloons, signs, and handouts, on a wide section of sidewalk in downtown Claremont just outside the local Starbuck's. This time we also had a gurney with leftover [sick] balloons attached, a large doll bandaged and sheeted, and a sign that said "no insurance". In addition to the usual handouts, we had colorful tickets we gave away as invitations to showings of the OneCareNow DVD, taking place at the county library [a block away] later in the afternoon, every half hour from 2:30 to 7:30.

At this second location, we had refreshments, more handouts, and more people to encourage awareness of the need for universal, single-payer health care, and the comprehensive care possible while saving money. While some people did come back to see the DVD, and others visiting the library stopped in, the number who saw it was disappointingly small.
