The California Senate and Assembly
made history last August when it
passed SB 840 to create a California
Universal Health Insurance Agency –
health care for all, for life, for less!
Unfortunately, Governor Schwarzennegger (whose deputy chief of staff at the time was a former insurance lobbyist) turned his back on the people of California when he vetoed this bill that would have provided affordable and comprehensive healthcare to every single Californian for life.
But, it’s not over yet. Senator Sheila
Kuehl reintroduced SB 840 in this year’s session of the legislature. We intend to keep fighting for SB 840 because it's a cause worth fighting for. But we need your help to spread the word about SB 840. |
