Following up on CSEA's SB 840 workshop on May 16, activists in Redding distributed "Remove the Middle Man" flyers on May 25 to Costco shoppers as they left the parking lot.  This was our first attempt to educate the general public in Redding about SB 840 but our local CSEA and CNA are committed to a continuing outreach program.  Redding is tough town but so are we.

REMOVE THE

MIDDLE MAN

FROM OUR HEALTHCARE

The California Senate and Assembly
made history last August when it
passed SB 840 to create a California
Universal Health Insurance Agency –
health care for all, for life, for less!

Unfortunately, Governor Schwarzennegger (whose deputy chief of staff at the time was a former insurance lobbyist) turned his back on the people of California when he vetoed this bill that would have provided affordable and comprehensive healthcare to every single Californian for life.

But, it’s not over yet. Senator Sheila
Kuehl reintroduced SB 840 in this year’s session of the legislature. We intend to keep fighting for SB 840 because it's a cause worth fighting for. But we need your help to spread the word about SB 840.

Here’s what you can do to help:
