A Collaborative Effort at the 6th Annual Madison Neighborhood Health Fair

In September, the League of Women Voters - Pasadena Area , together with Health Care for All (SGV Chapter) and the CleanMoney Campaign (Proposition 89), hosted a table at the Madison Avenue Health Fair, an annual event organized by Madison Neighborhood Partners, with City Councilmember Victor Gordo's sponsorship. Over 70 community organizations participated, offering health screening tests and demonstrations, as well as information about services to local residents. There was music and folk dancing, arts and crafts activities and food, lots of food! Our tablers were busy from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., promoting Voter Education activities and voter registration, explaining Propositions 89 and 86, as well as SB840, and collecting petition signatures for the OneCareNow campaign. We were lucky to have two bilingual tablers, as well as some Spanish language literature.
